Project Kind and New York Giants Partnership

The New York Giants help Project Kind with its corporate charity partnership. Since 2018, the New York Giants have partnered with us and have been kind enough to lend players for volunteering events and even lend their stadium for our Worthy of Love event. For this event, we bring in about 120 friends into Giants Stadium. During the Worthy of Love event, the Giants provide apparel, lunch and drinks, as well as a space for speakers, volunteers, and our friends.

Friends that come to this event are greeted with smiles and a tour of the stadium. Project Kind coordinates with businesses to provide complimentary haircuts, shaves, and even manicures—all donated by our homeless outreach volunteers.

Our friends also enjoy yoga, chiropractic care, and massage—everyone deserves self-care. Lastly, agencies assist by helping individuals gain their ID, housing, mental health assistance, and more. This is quite a day for our partners in kindness.

Project Kind and Toyota Partnership

Toyota helps Project Kind with its corporate charity partnership. Beyond donating items and money, Toyota believes it should be a partner in kindness and provide business donations to charities like Project Kind. In 2018 Toyota corporate donated a Sienna minivan to Jenny DePaul, founder and creator of Project Kind, so that she has a vehicle to bring donated items to those in need. The company also donated a substantial amount of food items in the van for those experiencing homelessness.

We look forward to a continued partnership with Toyota, our valued partner in kindness.

Why Do Corporations Give to Charity?

Corporations gift items, money, and time for different reasons. Some may realize the massive impact they can have while others have a personal connection to the communities they serve. Project Kind is fortunate enough to have a large warehouse space for corporate events that assist homeless outreach programs. Beyond teambuilding activities that break the ice and make everyone feel welcomed, this event lets employees make sandwiches and write kindness notes for outreach. Further, they can make toiletry bags and assemble lunch bags. Project Kind will then deliver the fruits of their labor to those most in need. The company is able to make an impact and those most in need are able to have a meal.

How Much Can a Corporation Donate to Charity?

Companies cannot deduct more than 10 percent per year of pre-tax income. However, they can carry any excess over 10 percent forward for five years. Ask your accountant and finance team for more information.

Determining how to get corporate donations for charity is not as easy as it may seem. If you and your business are interested in speaking with us about a corporate charity partnership, please contact us at projectkind123@gmail.com.
