Corporate Partnership

Project Kind and Toyota Partnership

Toyota helps Project Kind with its corporate charity partnership. Beyond donating items and money, Toyota donated a Sienna minivan to Jenny DePaul, founder and creator of Project Kind, so she has a vehicle to bring donated items to those in need. The company also donated a substantial amount of food items in the van for outreach efforts to those experiencing homelessness.

We look forward to a continued partnership with Toyota, our valued partner in kindness.

Why Do Corporations Give to Charity?

Corporations gift items, money, and time for different reasons. Some may realize the massive impact they can have while others have a personal connection to the communities they serve. Project Kind is fortunate enough to have a large warehouse space for corporate events that assist in outreach to those experiencing homelessness. Beyond teambuilding activities that break the ice and make everyone feel welcomed, this event lets employees make sandwiches and kindness notes for outreach. Further, they can make toiletry bags and assemble lunch bags. Project Kind will then deliver the fruits of their labor to those most in need. Your company can make a real impact and help those most in need by providing a meal and other items.

How Much Can a Corporation Donate to Charity?

Companies cannot deduct more than 10 percent per year of pre-tax income. However, they can carry any excess over 10 percent forward for five years. Ask your accountant and finance team for more information.
